In Left 4 Dead 2, you have the option of saving or sacrificing one of your fellow survivors, Nick or Pete. But what happens if you choose to save Nick? Does he live or die?
The answer, it turns out, is a little bit of both.
If you save Nick in the game, he will indeed survive. However, his survival is short-lived, as he will ultimately succumb to his injuries soon after. This is hinted at in the game’s ending cutscene, where Nick is seen being carried away on a stretcher.
So, while you can save Nick in Left 4 Dead 2, it’s not exactly a happy ending for him. But at least he gets a few more minutes of life, thanks to you.
